INCEPTION

The idea to build a motorsports ride park came to me organically as I was opening my motorcycle repair shop and racing amateur speedway in 2012. I realized a couple of key factors that ultimately gave this project the initial push.
1. There are no public practice tracks for speedway riding in the area currently.

2. Foresthill has great potential as a recreation destination, which is being developed and focused on by local community members and Placer County.

3. A United States Forest Service report from 2012 outlining the need for expansion of existing staging areas and development of a new staging area on the Sugar Pine trail system explained that during optimum riding season the trail systems could see as many as 500 riders per week.

4. A 100 acre piece of property with a good location was for sale, and was a good place to start.

When I looked at those four facts it became apparent that there was a need for a facility like this. The idea of having a place to practice speedway riding just added fuel to the fire, so I made some calls. Unfortunately we were unable to make a deal on this piece of property, and it sold to another party. It was at that time that I began searching for another piece of property that would suit our needs. For the entire plan to work there were some very strict search criteria. We needed a piece of property that was going to be easy to access from the main road which meant Foresthill Road frontage property, and it also needed to be in close proximity to the existing USFS O.H.V. trail system. That gave us a limited search area of about 5 miles. Unbelievably we found a magnificent piece of property that was privately owned. After some negotiation with the owner we came to an agreement, and like that we had taken the first real step towards making this a reality.
